A battle over volume that I finally won!

Published by jessie at 11:17 pm under 1 Edit This

Tonight my other half decided to pop in his favorite AC/DC concert into our state of the art television/sound system.  I have lived with him long enough to know what is coming and do what I can to avoid what has become unavoidable: the dreaded blaring of hard rock music that could chase me around the block, let alone out of the house.

Instead of running thought, I tried to cover my ears just a little bit.  He had is turned up so loud that I could not make out any of the lyrics and at least with my ears mostly covered it dampened the sound enough to allow me to comprehend them; however, it did nothing for the overstimulation and eventual panic I began to feel.

I out waited him though, he got annoyed at me covering my ears and finally turned it down to a more manageable level.  Sure to be a future conflict, but tonight I finally picked a battle over volume and won.

Alas, loud noises and insanely loud music still bothers me.  Still I have better hearing than he does and I probably have my autism to thank for that.

Couldn’t he just wear headphones so it’s not hurting you?
